We are seeking an Electrical Technician to coordinate, install, and maintain smart electrical consumption meter systems in commercial and industrial premises. The technician will work with customer representatives to ensure safe and timely installations of these meters.
To succeed in this role, you should be proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, capable of reading electrical system plans, and skilled in calibrating and setting meter parameters in preparation for installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare smart electrical meters and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Advise management on the continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Supervise subcontractor electricians.
- Support the ordering of electrical supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
- NTC2 or equivalent. Applicants without the required certificates but with a strong aptitude for electrical work will be considered.
- At least 2 years’ experience as an electrical technician.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Experience in operating hand and power tools, and fault testing equipment.
