The Senior Project Engineer at EDMI Communications Pte. Ltd. plays a crucial role in the implementation and operation of our system products and projects, including AMR (Automatic Meter Reading), AMI (Automatic Meter Infrastructure), and PQM (Power Quality Monitor). This position involves providing technical support and ensuring the successful delivery and aftersales service of our metering systems and solutions. The focus is on delivering comprehensive, end-to-end solutions to both existing and potential customers.
As a member of the Operations team, the Senior Project Engineer will participate in all stages of system implementation and operation, from delivery to aftersales service.
Principal Duties
- PQM System Handling: Manage and operate the PQM system effectively.
- AMR System Handling: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the AMR system.
- CLARITI System Handling: Manage the CLARITI system.
- Store Management: Oversee stock issuance and conduct regular stock takes.
- Meter Installation: Install meters on-site and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities
a. Attending to Customer Requests for Meter Installation:
- Prepare meters for installation
- Issue meters from the store
- Perform meter installations at client sites
- Record meter readings post-installation
b. AMR and PQM Systems:
- Understand and manage the AMR and PQM systems
- Provide 24/7 site support for PQM services
- Troubleshoot PQM systems and create Java graphics
- Commission the AMR web portal
c. Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve meter issues on-site
- Test and verify communication systems on-site
d. Performing Site Surveys:
- Conduct site surveys to assess and ensure proper installation and operation
e. Stock Management:
- Manage stock levels, ensuring adequate supplies for ongoing projects
- Conduct regular stock takes and audits
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with LV electrical circuits and installation of smart meters and other IO devices
